Hand woven string bag made by women in Papua New Guinea. Striped pattern on front and back. Sourced from natural plant fibers collected, dried, and woven into bush rope. A single bilum can take 4-8 hours. Each bag shows the name of the weaver, origin location, and material. Approximate dimensions - rectangle: 17"length x 14.5"width, shoulder drop 18" or round: 12"length x 12", shoulder drop 18."
